Strategic Management
The strategic management unit is the strategic and
operative backbone of the entire group. From fundraising to implementation of
new projects, from conducting scientific studies to building relations with
industrial partners – everything is coordinated within the strategic management
unit.
Current projects include managing the stroke in young
Fabry patients study (sifap1 and sifap2), coordinating a European Commission
Marie Curie project (Spring
School in Regenerative
Medicine), or supervise a scientific project of the German Ministry of
Education and Research (BMBF, LEUKONET).
The highest priority of the group is to support the
scientific work of the laboratory and release scientists from most
administrative work. This guarantees focused research of all workgroups and allows
for high-quality results.
Successful fundraising comprises projects with funds
from BMBF, DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) or the European Commission.
Additionally, co-operations with a broad panel of international industrial
partners.
